What is it about Parades?

Is it the clowns, the colors, the bands, the flags, the crowds of onlookers? I happen to think it is all of that and more. Since I am typically behind the microphone and rarely get the opportunity to get creative ...with my camera, I decided to spend my time this year, capturing the spirit of a parade. In younger days I captured the typical tourist photos of an entire float or group. Over my photo career, I have learned to fully implement the "crop" tool to capture the essence of what we are experiencing. I hope you enjoy this new photo essay.
